We’ve noticed that a lot of people download the Sympose WordPress plugin but don’t continue using it. For that we have introduced a Setup Wizard in Sympose 1.2.4.
The setup wizard will only show for new installations and gives you the option to create sample data or quick start an event by entering some data. Of course, the wizard can also be skipped. The Setup wizard will not show for current installations, but after updating you can access the Quick start directly under Sympose -> Quick start.
Aside from that we made the default schedule a bit better for mobile. We got multiple reports for a bad display of the schedule on mobile and decided it was worth improving that. In the future we will add alternative ways of displaying the schedule.
Last but not least we integrated CMB2 into Sympose. Until now it was necessary to install this plugin separately after activating Sympose. This was confusing for some people. CMB2 takes care of the custom fields that our plugin uses to manage content, like the start and end time fields.
Sympose 1.2.4 also introduced some issues which were fixed in the 1.2.4.1 release.
